WSRM 2019 10th Congress of World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery – Bologna – Italy

Dear Colleagues,

it is our pleasure to announce that the 10^th Congress of World Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery (WSRM 2019) will be held in Bologna (Italy) from June 12^th to 15^th, 2019.

The Congress will be inspired by the motto: “ad augusta per angusta” that is to say “great achievements through narrow paths”, which is the everyday challenge of Reconstructive Microsurgery.

In fact, in WSRM 2019 in addition to the classic topics of head and neck, trunk, breast and limbs Reconstructive Surgery, the congress will propose innovative microsurgery techniques for lymphatics, super-microsurgery, tissue prefabrication and use of micro-vascular grafts from cadaver. Special emphasis will be placed on mutual discussion among experts on topical issues. Finally, a special focus will be given to the competitive selection of the best clinical cases or salvage surgery. 

We hope the conference will have a large attendance, and we are working with the Scientific Committee to draw up a top level programme making the event dynamic, interactive and international by involving the main groups of reconstructive microsurgeons in the world. WSRM has always been an important occasion to meet and exchange opinions and techniques, as well as a great opportunity to meet the most renowned experts of microsurgery and all friends from different continents.

Bologna, located in the region of Emilia-Romagna, is seat to the oldest university in the Western world. It is a city with an intense cultural life and a very interesting historical heritage. If you join the 10th WSRM in 2019 we will do our best to make you enjoy our country.
